A crowd was gathered in the plaza, standing in front of a platform in the middle of the large area. On that platform, there stood my targets and a man with a noose around his neck. He was begging for mercy, but my targets just stared at each other, smiling smugly.

The man had committed no crime. He was being hung as a sacrifice, more of a warning for the fellow townsfolk. He was completely innocent, but my targets insisted he had done wrong.

Target #3, a captain of a group of greedy pirates named Deadlox, looked over at Target #1, a wealthy and selfish man named Sundee, and nodded with a smirk. Sundee nodded back and reached over to a lever, then pulled it without any hesitations.

I watched from my perch as the poor man writhed and struggled for air, then his neck snapped, and he hung loosely in the air.

My targets exchanged glances with each other and laughed. I narrowed my eyes at this and escaped the scene over the rooftops just as the other townsfolk began to clear the plaza, scarred by the scene they had to witness.

It was now my turn to make a move. They've already made their bold, dominating turn, but I knew more about the board than they did.

---

I leaped across rooftops, following the first target I spotted: #2, the head of the guards of the city. His name was Bajan. His position gave him a lot of power and dominance over the villagers of the settlement. Even his fellow guards had to obey his orders, no matter how defiant they were against him.

As I followed Bajan and his posse of soldiers following in his lead, I watched as they made a turn. I followed, making sure to not make myself visible among any of them.

I perched myself on a ledge of a roof of a nearby building. I watched as Bajan held out his arm to call off his guards, and they stood back as he nonchalantly walked up behind a colonist and raised his double-bladed axe.

Bajan brought it down, the blade cutting the muscle between the man's right shoulder and neck. Blood spewed from the cut, and the man fell to the ground, and I assumed that he had died from such a deadly cut.

Bajan stared at his now bloody axe in amusement. I gritted my teeth together and resisted the urge to leap and stab him in the back at that moment. I decided it was way to populated to do so, and I would probably be caught if I did.

Instead, when he left the scene, I leaped down from the ledge and took cover behind the corner of a building. I followed him through the crowds of shocked townsfolk, putting on my hood to conceal my face.

Bajan came to a gate, and he ordered the guards to raise it. As they did, I figured it was too risky to follow after my target, so I readied my hook-blades and began scaling the stone wall next to the gate.

I was nearly to the top when Bajan was starting to enter the permitted area. I hopped over the wall and watched him take a different route, but before I could jump down after him, I spotted a group of guards within my surroundings. I stayed put as Bajan disappeared behind a building, and I decided that I had to take out his goons.

When the gate was lowered, I scaled back down the wall and quickly made my way up to the roof of the nearest building. I hopped to the guards, and I drew my blades.

I did a headcount, and there was a total of five guards. With my swords drawn, I crouched and leaped from the roof, landing on the middlemost soldier's back and stabbing him in the back of his neck. The other guards stood and gawped in shock, then they drew their swords in outrage and ran at me to kill.

I got up and rolled out the way, and two of the guards slammed into each other, clonking their heads in the process. Another guard lunged at me, and I slashed at his stomach, making him double over in pain and collapse to the ground.

The final guard lashed at me, and I jumped back, losing one of my swords. I drew my musket, and the guard slashed at me once again, but I was too quick, and I kicked him in his knee, throwing him off balance.

I then stabbed him in the face and then retrieved my blade, then shot him in the chest. He fell to the ground, undoubtedly dead.

I picked up the sword I had dropped, and when I looked up, I saw Bajan. He stood there staring, then ran. I sheathed my weapons, then chased after him. He was a fast runner, but I made sure I didn't lose him through the maze of alleys and paths. Finally, I cornered him in a dead-end.

Bajan began to back away as I approached him. He then glanced at his axe, and he equipped it. I drew my blades, one in either hand. We began to circle each other, sizing each other up. Only one of us was coming out of this alive, probably covered in the others blood.

Bajan suddenly swung at me, and I jumped back just in time. He brought his axe at me once again, and I blocked the hit and pushed him back. I then attempted to strike him with on my blades from above, but he blocked it. I brought my second blade across to hit him in the side, but the move was blocked as well.

I twisted around and made another blow, and Bajan lost grip on his axe. He held up his arms for protection on his head. I crossed my swords, and I hit him in the waist. Bajan fell with a cry of pain.

---

Next, I began to follow target #3, Deadlox. He was the captain of a crew of pirates. They were all greedy and very dangerous, from what I've seen and heard. The team was scattered all amongst the settlement, and they were usually spies or doing routes along the outside of town.

I followed Deadlox closely, taking out his men slowly. I stayed on the roofs or near alleys to avoid being caught while he was doing his route. When he sent one of his men off to branch from the group and scout the area, I would take them out.

Once unattended, I chucked a knife at one of the pirates, pinning him against a wall. Another I used a poisoned dart on, keeping a safe distance away. I once spotted a pair of them, and I leaped onto them from behind, stabbing them both in the head with my hidden blades.

As Deadlox's gang began to decrease in number, I started to trail closer. I was still keeping my distance, knowing the consequences if I was to be caught.

Eventually, Deadlox left the city with a small group to start their patrol of the outside. It was well past dusk now, which was advantage for me. The darkness would provide generous coverage.

Deadlox and his gang split off, and he kept one pirate close out of the four he had. When they had their backs turned to each other, I watched the pirate peer into the darkness surrounding him. I came out of nowhere and punched him in the face, then stabbed him with a hidden blade to give him a silent death. Deadlox didn't notice a thing and kept walking on.

I followed him through the trees and shrubbery like a cat hunting its prey. I was slowly closing in, and he was unaware of it all. He had no idea he was all alone. He didn't know that he had no one to scream for. It was just us.

Deadlox had his back to me. I snuck up behind him without daring to breath. Then, without moments hesitation, I jumped from the tree I was perched upon and landed on him. I stuck a blade through his head just as he yelled in shock and pain.

---

My final target was #1, Sundee. He was a wealthy man, yet he was greedy and rotten. He owned much land and had plenty of workers and allies, who were going to get in my way. I've been after Sundee for some time, though I never found the chance to end his selfish wrath.

To follow Sundee throughout his territory, I managed to stalk one of his workers. When the time was right, I strangled him, and when he passed out I swapped our clothes. I fastened the buttons on the shirt, then went into Sundee's land. I pretended to be working along with the others, but I moved when Sundee did.

I followed him through his mansion and buildings. He didn't notice my presence at all.  As it got later into the night, workers on the land were starting to head to their quarters and rest. But not me. My job wasn't done yet.

Sundee didn't head to bed either. He just kept wandering his acres of land he bought, occasionally conversing with workers or colonists who were renting some portion of the area.

Eventually, nearly everyone amongst the settlement had left for bed. Quickly, while Sundee was busy conversing with another renter, I left to fetch my old uniform. Once I was changed, I traveled by rooftop back to Sundee. He was overlooking his farmland when I arrived, gazing at a windmill.

I dropped from the roof behind him. I revealed my hidden blades, alerting him of my presence.

Sundee turned his head, staring at me with calm eyes.

He knew what was coming.
Eheheh, I'm a bit late since the second animation came out, but oh well. It took some time to line up everything in the video, since it was all collaged. But, I managed :D
